Novel Studies 📚

Use #Wakelet Collaboration to engage students in novel studies! This collection was used as a formative assessment in a 7th grade ELA classes at Millennium Community School. It allowed students the opportunity to engage with a global audience and have critical dialogue about universal themes in literature. The author of Messenger, Lois Lowry, enjoys reading these collections and engaging in Q and A with the students via social media sites such as Twitter. Within this assignment, students are prompted to think critically about literature and make inferences while collaborating with their classmates. This often generates meaningful class discussions about elements in literature in class.
