Collaboration on Wakelet is now Unlimited!

Some of the best collections on Wakelet are not built by one person.

They grow through contributions from a class, a department, a group of researchers, a project team or a community with something useful to share. Collaboration has always been an important part of Wakelet, but we heard clearly from our Community that the limits around it could make things more complicated than they needed to be.

So we're pleased to announce that we've now removed these limits.

Starter and anonymous users can now collaborate without limits, which means you can invite anyone to contribute to your collection, no matter which plan they are on.

There is no need to check what account somebody has before inviting them. There is no need to worry about whether a collaboration limit has been reached. The people you invite can access the same collaboration features available within your collection and contribute without those previous restrictions.

For Pro users, this means it is now much easier to bring other people into the spaces you create. Your students, colleagues, guests or community members can join in and contribute, even if they are not Pro users themselves.

The focus can stay where it belongs: on the work you are building together.

More people, fewer barriers

Collaboration works best when joining is simple.

A teacher creating an interactive lesson should not have to think about which plan each student uses. A school leader running a professional development session should be able to invite everyone in the room to contribute. A team gathering research should be able to focus on the quality of the sources, not the accounts behind them.

Removing the limit makes all of those experiences more straightforward.

You can now use collaborative collections to:

• Make presentations and professional development sessions more interactive
• Collect research, ideas and useful resources as a team
• Involve students directly in classroom activities
• Work with colleagues on shared planning and resource collections
• Organize events, manage projects or plan your next family vacation

The use case may change, but the principle remains the same. Start one collection, bring the right people into it and give everyone a shared space to contribute.

Built from Community feedback

This update came directly from feedback shared by the Wakelet Community.

That matters to us. The people using Wakelet every day often see the points of friction most clearly. When a feature designed to bring people together starts creating uncertainty about who can take part, it is worth reconsidering how it works.

Unlimited collaboration makes Wakelet simpler, but it also makes it more open. A collection can now become a genuinely shared space without asking every contributor to change plans or work around a restriction before they can participate.

We think that is how collaboration should feel. Inviting students, colleagues, friends or teammates to contribute, with no collaboration limits.
