My work spans from communications work for charities and businesses to writing for major publications like The Independent, The Mirror and Metro. Passionate about using my communications skills to drive meaningful change, I’m currently pursuing also a Trustee role at brap, volunteer positions at multiple charities and a Masters in Human Rights with the University of London. I live in Brighton and work in both Brighton and London. I am currently working in research communications for Health Data Research UK, a charity and the UK's national institute for health data science, while also working as a journalist and editor on a freelance basis. I write for a range of publications including The Independent, Metro, The Mirror and Left Foot Forward. I also run Starlight Editing, a books editing business focusing on diversifying the industry and helping under-represented authors. Voluntary and humanitarian work have always been really important to me. I worked as a Trustee at brap for a year, a charity transforming the way we think about and do equality. I'm also a Community Ambassador at MeningitisNow, and I volunteer at a number of local organisations, including Brighton's branch of Amnesty International, MeningitisNow, GoodGym and Mission: HOME. Previously I worked as a Senior Editorial and Content Officer at Local Trust and before that, a content editor and diversity officer at MyLondon, a news publication covering London.
