@mayahenshawI am submitting Alex Wallace for the Wakelet Community Impact Award! 🎉 I, Maya Henshaw would like to nominate Alex Wallace for this award as I believe that she has demonstrated the most significant positive impact on Mintridge's community and I would like to share with you the amazing and empowering work she has done and continues to do. I am a student from Loughborough University, working for the Mintridge Foundation during my placement year. From the very start, I was inspired by the work Alex and Minty did up and down the country and I wanted to be involved with the charity. I feel very fortunate to be a part of this amazing team, especially as many of my peers had their placements cancelled due to COVID-19. Alex therefore went above and beyond for me to secure an incredibly inspiring placement role for me to fulfil when she could have easily cancelled my role due to the impact COVID-19 has had on the charity sector. To showcase the amazing work she does, I have decided to split this collection into before, during and after COVID-19 to simply show the long lasting impact Alex and Minty (her beloved mascot) have had on young people, their Ambassadors and their supporters throughout and beyond a global pandemic. The Mintridge Foundation is a registered charity dedicated to enhancing life skills in young people through sport. We provide a support network for young people by harnessing the power of positive sporting role models. The Mintridge Foundation assists young people of all ages, abilities and physical capabilities to develop confidence and resilience, and creates awareness of the importance of mental and physical wellbeing through sport.@mayahenshaw has not made any collections public yet.
