Cryptosign is a component for providing strong cryptography for applications from certificates and PKI to encrypted S/MIME email. Our goal is to provide the easiest and most efficient way to encrypt and sign data with strong crypto. Cryptosign includes the following components:
CryptoSign (cryptosign.jar) - Provides encryption and
signature functions to encrypt and digitally sign data for use with
S/MIME and other tools.
CryptoSign Application Packages (cryptoapps.jar) - Provides a
library of applications that can be packaged in a jar file with other
components to create an application package which can be easily deployed to any
computer that is capable of running Java.
CryptoSign Reference Applications (cryptoapps-javadoc.jar) - Provides
documentation for the application packages of CryptoSign.
General Cryptosign Functionality
Enables you to create strong S/MIME encryption and digital signing
functions that use the strongest current public and private key ciphers,
such as AES and RSA.
Starts with strong and tested encryption and signing software such as OpenSSL,
GNU Privacy Guard, and GNU Privacy Guard (GPG) Verification Utility.
Can use all of the standard components of the Java Cryptography Architecture,
including the key generation and management functions of the KeyAgreement.
Provides PKI functions to create and read/verify X.509 certificate files.
Provides functions to read and write S/MIME email.

CryptoSystem for Windows is a new, FREE, and easy to use toolkit written in C# and VB.NET for Windows. The toolkit is based on a combination of the CryptoAPI and the CryptoAPI, enabling you to both read and write Cryptographic Message Syntax (CMS) objects, with the added benefit of strong encryption. CryptoSystem for Windows is not dependent on any third party assemblies or development tools, meaning it can be distributed with your applications, or incorporated into your application's code.

For versions 1.0.0 and above, the CryptoAPI 1.0.2 assembly must be present in the same directory as the CryptoSystem for Windows.dll.

An editor/IDE toolkit is available (under development). A test harness is available that runs on Windows 2003 Server or Windows XP.
CryptoSys PKI is available as a FREE library. We believe that it should not be a commercial toolkit.
