How long have you been a part of Praetorian?
I started working here in August of 2006, so pretty much
this whole time.
What is your responsibility at Praetorian?
I am the manager of the studio.
I oversee all aspects of our development team, support our
consumers and ensure that our technology is up to date and
maintained.
Is it hard to work here with so many great people?
I have been fortunate to work with some amazing people
and be surrounded by a great community. It makes it easy.
How do you find time to manage the studio with so many
other responsibilities?
I’ve been here a few years now and have really grown into my
role. I am glad my workload is distributed so I can focus
on the exciting stuff and not get bogged down with the
mundane.
Why did you choose to do web development?
I have been doing graphic design for about 20 years and have
always wanted a creative outlet that didn’t involve art.
After joining the web design industry I was determined to
see what my design muscles could do, and what I could learn
about how the web works, and how to do it.
How important is being part of the community with other
web developers?
The web development community is amazing. Everyone is
going through the same struggles with things like
layout, design, functionality, etc. We share our experiences
and are very supportive of each other.
When is your best time of day to come to work?
Any time! I don’t have a set schedule so it depends on the
afternoon, when I wake up, what mood I’m in, etc.
What do you listen to for inspiration?
I listen to a lot of music in the studio while
