Connection String failing while creating a POCO in EntityFramework
I have a constructor in a POCO class that takes a connection string as parameter, however when I use it to create the object the connection string fails with the following error:
The specified string is not in the format
  "".
I am able to create the object with no problems using my dbml file. I am using the connection string from app.config and the code is similar to the following:
public MyPOCOClass(string dbName, string dbHost, string dbPort, string dbUser, string dbPassword)
{
    this.dbName = dbName;
    this.dbHost = dbHost;
    this.dbPort = dbPort;
    this.dbUser = dbUser;
    this.dbPassword = dbPassword;
    var entity = new Entity();
    entity.Connection = new System.Data.EntityClient.EntityConnection(this.dbName, this.dbHost, this.dbPort, this.dbUser, this.dbPassword);
    this.entities = entity.Metadata;
}
