Use 3D views and perspectives to study a design idea, or even create a precise 3D model. As you learn more about SketchUp, you can create even more detailed models and views.
Use SketchUp to create whatever model you need, like a set of doors and windows or a working model of a building. Create custom objects and modify them as you want to. There are no limitations on the types of objects you can create. You can also share your creations with others. Upload your models to SketchUp’s Web site and other users can use them, view them, and even download them.
Quick and easy
Creating models in SketchUp is simple. Draw shapes, or use the polygon tool to draw lines, triangles, and rectangles. SketchUp’s interface is very intuitive and easy to use. SketchUp will display a 3D box for any selected model. Use the right and left buttons to rotate the box, and press the up and down buttons to zoom in and out.
The SketchUp interface is organized into three sections: Objects, Options, and Scenes. You will start by adding objects to your model. Then, you can customize each object by selecting various options. Finally, you can attach the objects to each other and place them in a scene.
