JIRA 5.8 GA is now available! The new version has received countless bug fixes and improvements. We also provided JIRA with a new look and new features.

Each JIRA Activation Code user can have access to several projects and tasks. Every project has it's own login and password, that you should type in whenever you want to access it.
On the top of the page you can view the status of all your tasks and issues. There is an overview of all the projects that you are connected to, along with the amount of pending tasks.
You can close all active issues and move them to another project if you want.
You can create bugs in your projects by searching for them in the Filters field.

How to turn off time.hts file creation?
I have a file called xtime.hts, and every time I try to view my file using xemacs or emacs the file gets created. How can I stop this from happening?

You can use:
sudo touch xtime.hts
to create an empty file.

Use touch command to create a file. 
You should check if xtime.hts already exists, if it does, then do this:
mv xtime.hts xtime.hts.bak
