On December 13, 2018, Battling Opioids, a project of Pennsylvania Public Media, hosted a Twitter chat discussing opioid use, family issues and recovery during the holiday season.

About a dozen people from recovery support organizations and research centers joined us and responded to questions such as:

What might make the holidays difficult for people in recovery and their families?

How can we make a more recovery-supportive environment for loved ones struggling with substance use issues?

What resources are available for people in recovery and their families to help navigate these sometimes-stressful times?
