Authoritarian Populism and the Rural World

Authoritarian populism is on the rise, boosted by support from rural areas. A conference on 17-18 March 2018 examined why, and explores the alternatives: the social and political processes in rural spaces that are resisting or responding to regressive, authoritarian politics.
