- UAVs are assumed to have a limited energy capacity. The duration of flight is limited by the available battery power. UAV Playground components provide a life-cycle of the UAV so that flight times can be properly simulated.
- The UAV Playground project includes the Simulator component, the library component, several tutorials and the library's requirements.

Simulator runs in simulation mode (UAV Playground requires the simulator to run in simulation mode). Simulator is an application that simulates several aspects of UAVs.
