What is Lenticle Count?
A lenticle is a small wedge-shaped structure in the lens of your eyeglasses, which is often made of material like quartz.
There are two parts of a lens:
Primitive part of lens
Front or crown of lens
This 1st part is known as the primitive part of lens, or primal lens. And, this 1st part is filled with a viscous fluid.
The 2nd part of lens is known as the front or crown of lens, and it is used to conduct the image to the eyewear and to focus the image on retina.
This 2nd part of lens is filled with air.
When you wear a pair of eyeglasses, these two parts of lens come together, and they act as a single unit.
And, this 1st part is moved from the 2nd part by the action of ciliary muscle.
The primitive part of lens is a hard plastic material, while the 2nd part of lens is a soft material.
