Welcome back Year 6-13
From Monday, for the first time in six months, we will be able to have all of our students onsite for their lessons.  It has been a really strange time and I know how difficult it has been for some of our students, who have been very isolated from friends. As they return next week, we are conscious of helping them settle and our focus will, very much, be on the wellbeing of all of our children. There will, obviously, be gaps in their knowledge and over the remaining school weeks of this term, we will be working out the learning areas that may need to be revisited and also planning for next year. This is particularly true for our Year 10 and 12 cohorts for who we are unsure, at the moment, as to what the IGCSE and A Level exams will look like next year. There has been some talk of reduced content but I believe there will not be any news on this until after this year's cycle is complete.  I am pleased that the return date does offer us time to see our year 11 and 13 students. It will help us and them to bring closure to the exam courses and for our oldest students, closure to there time in school.  It was a strange feeling last year not to be able to have an official graduating period so this is a welcome opportunity.
