Mizzou New Music Ensemble performs at 2019 MMEA Conference
The 2019 Missouri Music Educators Association conference was held the weekend of January 23-26 at Tan-Tar-A Resort in Osage Beach, and MNMI was there as part of the School of Music's delegation. The Mizzou New Music Ensemble performed the winning works from the first-ever MADSM Collegiate Composers competition - "Gunkanjima” by Ryan Jeschke of Truman State University, and “Natales” by Mizzou's own Daniel Vega - and also teamed up with the University Singers for a performance of the "Jazzonia" movement from Will Averitt's "Black Pierrot."
