IES LAS FUENTES Villeña

Known thanks to a mobility carried out during the KA1 that the Fanti Institution is still running. In March of the past year the first student exchange was started. The constructive relationship between the two Institutes was further strengthened during the mobility of Job shadowing that the Spanish referent colleague made in February 2018 at our school. During this period the fundamental aspects of the present project were discussed. The IES Las Fuentes de Villeña (Alicante) celebrates its X Anniversary 2 years ago. It develops a educational offer of the general scheme composed of the first and second cycle of ESO, as well as a Scientific-Technological Baccalaureate, another of Arts and a third of Humanities and Social Sciences.Likewise, it is taught the Training Cycles of the Medium Degree of Commerce, Hairdressing and Aesthetics, and Higher Degree of Integral Aesthetics and International Trade.

Team has devoted great effort to the task of ascribing to the center how many improvement programs offer administrations at local, regional, national and European level. The most important of all it consists in the implementation of plurilingualism with the support of new methodologies and technologies.

To promote it, three years ago the school prepared a European Development Plan.

According to it In 2016, they requested 6 KA 101 and 3 KA102 actions within the Erasmus + Program to better develop the CLIL methodology and other new methodologies and technologies in the processes of teaching-learning. Then, in 2017, they requested another six new job-shadowing and courses ton strengthen this type of knowledge. All these formative actions obtained subsidy. The school have proposed to continue developing multilingualism through the use of new technologies and methodologies, and also through the knowledge of other realities of the European environment.

For this, thanks to some contacts established through the previous mobilities, the visit to their center in March of a group of 20 students of the Liceo M. Fanti in Carpi (Italy). Beside this we have also started a collaborative work project through the eTwinning platform. The objective was to establish an association strategic that helps to share good educational practices. Moreover the Spanish school is a specialised center in the recovery and integration of people with motor handicap.The IES Las Fuentes managing team is proud and honoured of being a partner in the project.As said previously, the school has become a reference point in the area of Villeña as regards people with physical disability, and will be supported by APADIS, a national association offering assistance and support to people with physical disabilities and by the town Municipality of Villeña.
