Catalyst General Controller is a useful tool that allows you to control connected devices and issue commands from the same interface. The program supports internet protocols, game input devices, keyboards and serial ports.
You can use this tool for electronics projects or for other tasks that can be simplified by configuring tasks. This program allows you to make your own custom command list. You can use this command list to do the following:
- Create multiple lists of commands
- Create a command to run a script
- Create an offline version of the script
- Run a script for each command in the list of commands
Once you have your command list created, you can create a task to run these commands. A task represents a sequence of commands that you want to automate. This allows you to run a task on a regular basis. You can create your tasks to run whenever you want, or set it to run on a regular schedule.
To use this program, you must have access to a web server. Once you have a web server set up, you can create a web server configuration file and then login to the web server. Once you are logged in, you can create your command list and then save it to your web server.
Note: Creating and storing your command lists in your web server is the recommended method, but it is not required. In the event that you need to temporarily run your command list from your desktop, you can do so by accessing the file for the command list. This is what will be discussed in this program guide.
To create your command list, start Catalyst General Controller on your desktop and access the main window.
Step 1
In the top left hand side of the Catalyst General Controller window is a bar that allows you to add commands to your command list.
Step 2
To add a command to your command list, enter a command in the command line and press Enter.
When you first add a command to your command list it will not execute. You can execute the command by pressing Enter at the command line. When you press Enter, the main Catalyst General Controller window will show you the results of that command.
To edit the command or enter a new one, click on the question mark under the command line.
Step 3
Press Enter to execute the command. You will now see results of the command in the main Catalyst General Controller window.
