Sen. Claire McCaskill said she's ducking hugs for a bit while she recovers from a broken rib inflicted by one of her Democratic colleagues.

But McCaskill has no hard feelings — Sen. Joe Manchin injured her when he applied the Heimlich maneuver when he noticed her choking at a lunch for Democratic senators on Thursday, the Washington Post reported.

I’m really grateful to Joe — a little bit of a sore rib for a couple of weeks is no big deal,” McCaskill told the Post through a spokesman.
