How to Access Sora Ebooks:

The ebook collection is accessed through the Sora App located on Classlink. However, you may also download the Sora App on your phone and it works in conjunction with the Libby App as well (Both Apps are products of Overdrive).
In SORA there are three horizontal lines located at the top right corner and once you click the lines all of your libraries will appear once you've added them to your account.
There is a blue plus sign that says “add a library" and you need to click this in order to add the two new libraries as a first time user.
The first library to add is: Southern Westchester BOCES.
The second library to add is: Westchester Library System.
When your school is asked by a prompt, always choose Mt Pleasant Central School District and click on your school email address.
Now you can start checking out Ebooks and Audiobooks!
Browse the Explore tab using a title, author, or choose a genre and borrow a book by hitting the “borrow” button. Sometimes a book may be checked out already, so you may need to use the option of putting the book on “hold”. Dates sometimes appear telling you the time you will need to wait.

One tip for browsing- check out the recently returned books under the Westchester Library System collection for a good selection of popular books that were recently returned and available to borrow immediately. Also the “Sweet Reads” collection have been curated for the summer.

Your book will open and be ready to read once you initialize your school address a second time (Choose Mt. Pleasant Central School District and your school email). This verifies you as a Mount Pleasant student and the next time you sign in it will not ask you to verify again. Unfortunately, for the first check-out you need to locate the book a second time to check it out . You can bookmark your page too.

Close the book and go to your Shelf to see all your books. From the shelf you can:

Click or tap Open Book or Open Audiobook to read or listen to the book. You also can return books early.
Click or tap Options to renew or return the book, get to your notes and highlights, and more, Enjoy!
