AJGA alumnus Xander Schauffele earned his fourth career PGA TOUR victory and second victory of the 2019 season at the Sentry Tournament of Champions.

Schauffele's first-round 1-under-par 72 left him six strokes off the lead and despite two rounds in the 60s on Friday and Saturday he still trailed the leader by five strokes entering the final round. That did little to deter Schauffele however, as he fired eight birdies and two eagles on Sunday to post a 11-under-par 62 for a one stroke victory. His score tied the course record held by four others and set a tournament record for lowest final round by a winner.

As an AJGA member from 2009 to 2010, Schauffele played in nine tournaments and had four top-10 finishes.
