Dear Parents,
I am pleased to report that we have had a very short, but productive week at school. I would like to bring the following announcements to your attention:

1. Calendar:

Please be reminded that the following days have been declared public holidays:

Monday, 9th and Tuesday, 10th May (Wednesday, 11 to Friday, 13th May are normal school days).

2. Extended Days:

Also, please be reminded that the school intends making up the school days lost, due to the additional public holidays held recently. Extended school days will continue until 4 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays to add an additional two lessons per week over a six-week period. The extended days are as follows:

Week 1: Monday 16th and Wednesday 18th May
Week 2: Monday 23rd and Wednesday 25th May
Week 3: Monday 30th May and Wednesday 1st June
Week 4: Monday 6th and Wednesday 8th June
Week 5: Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th June – please note that Monday 13th is a public holiday.
Week 6: Monday 20th and Wednesday 22nd June.

Please note that the school buses will leave school no later than 4 p.m. to ensure that heavy traffic is avoided.

3. Parent-Teacher Conferences:

Due to many families being away at the moment, parent-teacher conferences have been postponed and will take place during the week, commencing Monday, 16th May. As indicated previously, teachers will be flexible in scheduling conferences to accommodate families who are currently living abroad.

4. Field Trip to the Experimentanium Museum:

I would like to draw your attention to the article and photographs submitted by Ms Marna, featuring last week's Year 4, 5 and 6 field trip to the Experimentanium Science Museum. It is very evident that pupils learnt a great deal and had loads of fun!

5. Forthcoming Events:

We look forward to the following events:

Field Trip: Year 1, 2 and 3 pupils can look forward to a visit to the Moskvarium with their teachers on Monday, 16th May, to learn more about marine life in the oceans of the world.
International Day: Friday, 27th May. Each class will choose a country with a view to highlighting the culture, traditions, history and geography of the country. Parents are encouraged to support their children.
