Co-teaching
The co-teaching model for collaborative learning is less well-known than those described previously. Instead of attending together in one physical space, the teachers may meet in a virtual space, although physical contact still occurs in the classroom through face-to-face interactions. Learning outcomes might include problem-based learning, peer learning and cooperation.
Teaching and learning
UniSA has been classified by the Australian Classification of Education to award Diplomas and Titles of Qualifications. This system is independent of the university awarding degrees and is available at any stage of education. A qualification is any professional title or advanced academic qualification that is granted by an approved awarding body in Australia and is exempt from taxation under the Education Act. A qualification is delivered via a formal structured programme of study recognised by an awarding body, in which the student is enrolled and actively participates.

This is evidenced in UniSA's full-time undergraduate teaching programmes for over 8,000 students, being the largest undergraduate teaching body in the South East.
Academic support
Support for teaching and learning at the University comes from an academic support team. Academic support staff have specific roles that assist teaching staff with different aspects of teaching and learning. Academic support is available to students via a learning support service, email and telephone. The academic support team has the added responsibility to support teaching and learning in the research and other academic units. The academic support team is also responsible for providing student support in the form of academic support officers and writing and reading tutors.
Learning support
Learning support provides assistance to students to enhance learning. This can be provided at all levels in a learning community. Learning support is best suited for students who are having difficulties learning in a particular area. They can provide help with any aspects of the learning environment that may be causing difficulties for the students. An academic support team can also provide support for a student who is not having difficulty, but for other reasons are looking to assist their learning.
International programs
UniSA has international partnerships with universities, colleges, and other organisations in a number of countries and regions around the world. International programs are mostly in the English language but some are in the Japanese, Chinese and Arabic languages.
