It has an Accessibility and assistive technology access on the right side and then at the top left the 2 letters Â . . . if it is like that even tho i have the checkmark then it isn't accessible? I don't have a lot of experience in using digital assistive technologies, and I don't understand how to get this working.

How to preserve the original density and orientation of a face?
The object I have in the picture below is intended to be a pair of glasses that sit on the nose of a person.
I do not want to use the transformation tool, or the sculpting tool, and I do not want to use any shape layers. 
I have tried to use the knife tool to cut out a rectangle at the top of the lens. If I don't select the entire shape, the top edge always gets deleted. If I select the entire shape, the shape I'm trying to make is flipped.
I have also tried using the bevel tool to turn the edge of the rectangle into a circle and then creating a circular shape on top of the circle. This works, but the top edge is curved and I want it to be sharp.
How can I make the shape I'm trying to make sharp?
Select a face and use the "To Cylinder" operation from the "Edges" menu.

The problem is that it will remove the face itself. So if you're not planning to use it, I'd suggest to select all the faces of the face, then use the "make duplicates visible" operation and use the knife tool to separate the faces.
If you're planning to use the faces for something else, I'd suggest to make a shape layer for the face and duplicate it in a texture image. Then duplicate the image itself and move the new one to the back of the layers stack.
