Version 2.0 of the software has the following features:  A new interface, a new design with a new a "Custom" tab that gives a choice of three methods for playing back files. The "Load Audio" option plays back audio files in a background window, the "Stop Audio" option pauses the playback when a file is playing back, and the "Close Audio" option plays the file but immediately closes the player. The "Display Picture" tab can be used to display thumbnail pictures. The "Zoom" option allows the user to enlarge or shrink the size of the images in the thumbnails. The "Reset" option resets the custom view to its original size. The "Dictation" tab has a section for the system preferences. The "Display" tab has a menu for the custom views. A "Help" button takes the user to the software's information page.
The "Store" tab allows the user to create a new folder that can be used for holding files that were .wav or .aiff files. A new item called "Inbox" is included in the "Store" tab.

The new DSS Player Standard interface is divided into the following sections:
1.The main window (see Figure [1](#FIG1){ref-type="fig"}) has the following features:  a dialog box (yellow), information about the .wav file, options for the .wav file, a play button, a stop button, a "View Options" button, and a "Help" button.  
2.In the "View Options" menu, three choices of .wav file playback are available. The first choice is the "Display Audio" option, the second is the "Stop Audio" option, and the third is the "Close Audio" option.  The "View Options" menu contains a "Reset" option, a "Zoom" option, a "Dictation" tab,
