It was probably the same species which has been seen recently in Scotland and which in England is known as the Black Kite. In its habits it is not unlike the species which I am calling albicollis, or marroti. It is very inquisitive, comes a long way from a distance, and then often drops into an overgrown corn field or lonely hay field.
