YEAR 2
Year 2 are ready to set sail! We enjoyed making fantastic pirate ships with Ms Sonya, linking in with our Life at Sea Topic. Year 2 completed assessments this week in Reading and Maths. Everyone completed a different reading test based on their level and we are pleased with their progress. The children are excited to move to the next colour-band level and read more interesting stories! Year 2 completed two Maths tests. Results from the arithmetic test are very good and Year 2 showed off their addition and subtraction skills! The Problem Solving & Reasoning test is much more challenging and we will focus on developing our problem solving skills next half-term with daily maths challenges. In English, Year 2 learnt a big new word 'Adjectives'...we are creating sentences using many interesting adjectives! In the photos, you can see Year 2 working in pairs to create sentences using picture prompts. Have a lovely weekend!
