Dosage Torrent Download is a low maintenance, one-line, command line script for downloading web comic strips from websites that permit it.
Dosage will download the latest web comic strip, add it to your computer and save it to a file on the computer where Dosage is installed.
Dosage is designed to save downloaded comic strips to a file so that they will be available for future use, and for example, in the directory from which Dosage is run. If you provide Dosage with a directory to store the web comic strips, it will be stored in that directory.
Dosage also computes a timestamp for all the comic strips downloaded and will display a list of all the comic strips you have downloaded.
You can have Dosage automatically download all the comic strips available from a single website, or, for example, from a single server.
Dosage will print the timestamp for all the comic strips you have downloaded, and will print the names and addresses of the comic strip websites from which it downloaded the comic strips.
You can use Dosage to download both comic strip directories and individual web comic strips.
Dosage is written in Perl and CPAN modules, works with CGI scripts and web servers and is designed to be run using a Perl interpreter such as Perl 5 or Perl 6.
Requirements
This software requires that the command line option -v is used to provide verbose information about the actions Dosage is taking.
Dosage also requires that the command line option -i is used to provide information about the uploaded comic strips.
Usage
Use the -c argument to set the “comic strip directory”, the -h argument to set the “header for output comic strips”, the -i argument to set the “comic strip information”, the -a argument to set the “site address to be searched”, the -b argument to set the “list the comic strip ” and the -n argument to set the “number of comic strips to be printed and downloaded”.
Dosage will show information about your web server and the web site from which it will be operated.
The “comic strip directory” is set using the -c, -h and -i arguments.
The “header for output comic strips” is set using the -h and -i arguments.
