He meets a stranger named Kavya, and soon becomes her closest friend. As a last ditch effort to win Noorie's love, Shaurya steals a painting of Kavya from her workplace and tries to frame it for a murder. Kavya is shocked to hear about the theft and tells her father. The father tells Kavya to not tell Shaurya and bring him to the police to handle the situation. A few days later, Shaurya disappears. Kavya learns that Shaurya is currently in jail. She visits the police station and tells them that Shaurya had stolen a painting from her, a stolen painting which has now been recovered. She hands over the painting to the police officer in charge. In prison, Shaurya has learned the truth and makes a plan to escape. He manages to trick the guards and slip out of the prison. The police officer from the beginning has been wearing a wire and is soon found out. Shaurya tries to escape again, but is eventually caught. He reveals the truth to Noorie and they come to a compromise. The rest of the movie is about them working out their marriage and trying to create a future together.
Trapped is the second movie of the film series Raya. This movie is a sequel to Kavya (2014) and was directed by Gaurav Varma and choreographed by Saroj Khan. The film features Rajkummar Rao and Geetanjali Thapa in the lead roles. Manjima Mohan plays Kavya's friend in the movie. The film is written by Urvashi Butalia and was released on 10 February 2016, to mixed reviews.
Plot
One night, Shaurya and Noorie are having drinks together. They are happily talking about marriage. They are having an affair for the past 2 years. Noorie is learning dance, and Shaurya is learning painting. They both hope to get married, but Noorie will have to come from a wealthy background to get married. Shaurya plans to marry Noorie as soon as possible. They decide to bring her father in on their plans to get married.
A few days later, Shaurya is getting ready to leave for his parents' house when Noorie finds a letter in which Shaurya is talking about his infidelity. He tries to tell her the truth, but she runs off. An hour later, Noorie comes back to Shaurya's apartment.
