The RAMTester randomly and shuffled address memory cells to write and read bit patterns. This can be performed by a user, by the help of embedded functions included in the utility, or automatically on boot up. The software allows to save addresses and read them back for verification. It is very easy to use, free and fast.

HDD 
In general, testing of HDDs is relatively easy. But you should be aware that when you test the first of the disk, it is a test of the first region of the disk, where the head returns with the maximum speed. Depending on the speed of the first access, it can be several seconds. For example, the first access will be more than 12 seconds for a HDD rated 150 MB/sec. Of course, you can rewind the clock.
If it is necessary to test the secondary region of the disk, then it is necessary to find a way to increase the speed of the first access. The fastest way is to use the PIO mode. Otherwise, if it is not possible, it is necessary to work in the ATA mode. So, as soon as the first disk is fully in the primary memory, the utility will start working with the ATA mode.
Improvements
