How to Frame a Door in an Interior Wall?

Framing the door in the interior wall involves creating a rough opening to accommodate the door and installing the necessary framing components. Here is a step-by-step guide to help you frame your door to an interior wall:

Gather the necessary tools and materials: you will need a tape measure, a square frame, a circular saw, a hammer, nails, screws, a level and a board. Lumber (usually 2x4 lumber).  
Determine the door size: Measure the width and height of the door you plan to install. Add a few inches to both measurements to account for the door frame and clearance.  
Locate and mark the rough opening: Determine the desired location for the door in the interior wall. Use a tape measure and square ruler to mark the rough hole based on the size of the door. In general, you will need to mark the width of the hole and the height from the floor to the top of the hole. 
Cut Wall Nails: Measure and cut two wall nails along the height of the rough hole. These posts will act as the sides of the door frame. Make sure the cuts are vertical (vertical) using a level. 
Cutting the linoleum and sill panels: Measure and cut two horizontal planks. The header will pass through the top of the rough hole and the sill plate will be fitted at the bottom.
