What is HDR and/or RAW image?
HDR or High dynamic range is a technique that allows an image, captured in a very narrow range of light levels, to look noticeably brighter than normal.

I.e. when the scene is bright in one part of the frame and dark in the rest, the entire scene still appears dark.
To address this problem, HDR images are created, with a wider range of light levels. This is achieved by merging multiple identical frames, each exposed at slightly different shutter times (e.g. one shorter than the other, and one longer than the other).
I.e. if you have a camera that can take images with different exposures, one image with a shorter exposure time, and one image with a longer exposure time, you can merge the images to create a HDR image.

I.e. when the scene is bright in one part of the frame and dark in the rest, the entire scene looks brighter than the one in the first example. This way, it can be seen that the scene is much brighter than the one in the first example.
To address this problem, RAW images are created, which are unprocessed images (mostly, in a digital camera).
