I bought a new laptop and I want to make it my default system… but I don’t want all my windows on it. I’m thinking of installing a different operating system and… uh… booting from the drive. And then installing Ubuntu Linux. Can I do that? I’m using a Gateway laptop with Windows XP.
Yup, you can do it, but, uh… it’s not exactly easy. You have to take the hard drive out, since you can’t just replace it. That makes things easier. Install Windows first, then Linux

Bertha belted out a rude awakening in my house this morning. She was crawling around in the bedroom and I was taking a quick shower. I heard a honk and when I came out of the bathroom, Bertha was terrified and hiding on the bottom shelf. I ran back into the bathroom to make sure she hadn't chipped a tooth as she was looking for a way to safely go under the vanity. I could hear her trying to cry out but it didn't come out. I came out of the bathroom and she was covered in foam. I grabbed her and carried her into the living room. I was horrified. I didn't want to take her outside in case the neighbors witnessed this. I wanted her to try and know what was so bad about her. I put her in the bathtub and ran for the camera. Let me just tell you. This is no good. This is not normal. No normal cat is frightened and aggressive after a bath. she was trying to be mauled.
I was so confused that she didn't know it was a bath. She would play and bathe and usually then realize that she was in some sort of special place and lay down. I got her out of the tub and into the hallway and out of sight. I expected her to know that this wasn't a normal place. She has never acted like this before. I was unsure if I could clean her up without having another bath. I got her shampoo and was going to scrub her back. She turned around and let me know in no uncertain terms that she didn't like that. She didn't ever lay down on me like that. She hissed. I took it as a good sign and shampooed her. I shampooed every inch of her body. Not only that, I blow dried her. She did not like that either. I was much in need of a haircut so I had to trim her toenails. I don't think I've ever seen her sit still for that. As I was cleaning her she was trying to screech and hiss. I'll admit that I had fears that I hadn't seen the last of her furballs. As I tried to pull them from her stomach she looked like she was in pain. But she was calmer and I was
