650 British children, matched to their MPs in the British Parliament, will be part of a virtual children&#39;s parliament on the eve of COP26 United Nations Climate Change Conference starting in November 2021.The one-hour Microsoft Teams virtual ‘parliamentary’ session will be held at 5pm on Friday 29th October 2021 in a House of Commons-style virtual ‘chamber’, with half of the children aged from 7 to 11 years of age on the left - representing Her Majesty’s Opposition - and half on the right, Her Majesty’s Government.

Prior to the virtual event, children from Penzance to London, Cardiff to Aberdeen will interact with a number of ‘Class Challenges’ in their schools, and curate their own thoughts and ideas around core pillars relating to the issues to be discussed at COP26.The key topic of debate will be Sustainability and Climate Change - with a pivotal question pertaining to the COP26 United Nations Climate Change Conference being put to a vote by the Child &#39;Speaker of the House&#39; at the end of the virtual parliamentary session.
