EYFS 
Welcome back, everyone in Early Years to Autumn 2. This week we have spent the time getting back into our daily routines and meeting up with our friends. We are all surprised at how much we remember from last term. We had a lot of fun engaging in revision math and phonic activities. We have learned many interesting facts about owls this week and will continue this topic focusing on nocturnal animals.
In Maths we looked at different shapes in the environment. We are able to name and describe four different shapes. WE enjoyed a fun Math game where we had to recognize the number and put the corresponding number of legs on the spider using pegs. This activity not only reinforced our number concept from 1-10 but the opening and closing of the pegs helped with the development of the muscles in our hands.
In phonics we consolidated the first phase of Jolly Phonic sounds through pictures and jingles
Our next topic is “Celebrations”. We look forward to a term of fun, laughter and learning!
