Clearwater River Casino & Lodge announced the winners on Thursday, July 21. Linda Jorgensen ID of Lewiston won $1,541,533.11, the largest jackpot in casino history. Jorgensen hit the jackpot with a $4.50 bet on the Wheel of Fortune Cash Link video game console (VGM). Dan Kane, general manager of Clearwater River Casino & Lodge, said, "It's great to see one of our customers get such a large amount of money." "A few years ago we won more than $600,000 in prize money, but this million-dollar prize is considered a life-changing amount," Kane continued. The VGM manufacturer sent a technician to the casino on Friday, July 22, with International Game Technology (IGT) to confirm the jackpot. The machine is known as Wide Area Progressive and is electronically connected to other casinos. Immediately after winning the million dollar jackpot, the maximum jackpot was reset to $500,000 on the machine.
