Overview

Michal and Lieutenant Ian Hayes have decided to get married. The promise of their love was to, "Live together or die together, but never tolerate separation." That promise is tested when Ian receives orders to go to the Middle East. Michal refuses to let him go alone. Her father-in-law, General Hayes, pulls some strings to assist her in joining the military; and, against his better judgement, having them both assigned to the same unit under different names. All is well until her husband goes missing while on a mission. He is ultimately declared KIA and the investigation into his death quickly closed. While out on a reconnaissance mission Michal saves a soldier's life. Eathan Togue is grateful to her. When he discovers that she is grieving the loss of a comrade, he of course wants to give her his condolences, however, in doing so he unwittingly becomes her uneasy side kick on an adventure that reveals a plot of war and the details of her husband's mysterious disappearance.
