CLD and Community Empowerment

Community empowerment is about supporting communities to do things for themselves and make their voices heard in the planning and delivery of services. The COVID19 crisis has presented huge challenges to many vulnerable communities in Scotland but it has also led to an explosion of local, community-led responses to some of these challenges. Now more than ever, CLD practitioners need to reflect on the roles they play to support communities to empower themselves.
