This version of EISPICE includes a subset of spice3 device models.
When instantiating a model with the Spice class, an IBIS definition must be provided (if none is provided, the model will throw an exception). A simple Python API is provided to make it easy to create and handle IBIS models.
The EISPICE application supports a vast number of ways to set up its models. For example you can set direct IBIS or one of the behavioral state variables like X,Y,I (current), V (voltage), F (frequency), P (photonic), A (angle), P (polarization), L (waveguide width), M (medium), S (particles), T (length), and D (delay). To get the most performance, you should set state variables that are changed frequently or at the same time as you evaluate the model.
Some state variables affect computation only if their value has changed. In order to use state variables which can have multiple initial values, you should use the init='initial', init2='initial' and def='Default Values' syntax. If you set an attribute with a default value via the "init" attribute, setting the default value will cause the new default value to be treated as "init" as well.
An IBIS definition is a series of state variables and functions that define the state of the model. This is a sequence of

In the above example, the initial state of the IBIS is assumed to be unity (1.0). Initial state may be a function of many state variables including P(1) which has initial value 1.0, V(1) which is the default value, and D(1) which is one of the many functions of the state.
You can also set the initial value of state variable P(1) via the "init" property of the state variable P(1).
As models become more complex the number of state variables grows and it becomes difficult to set state variables. EISPICE allows you to name the state variable and apply a function of a particular state to the state variable. For example, suppose you have a model with state variables P and Q. Then, to initialize a state variable named "prescribed Q" you do:

eispice is the Electrical Interconnect Simulation Platform for Python Development. eispice provides a set of Python objects that allow you to simulate SI of embedded systems or other "signal" based devices and provide an easy way to develop signal based models for embedded systems. eispice includes full support for IBIS models, behavioural models, and complex device models.

Interface to the eispice Simulation Engine:
All simulations are carried out from within the Python programming language using two primary objects: Devices which represent individual electrical components and Transmission Lines which represent wires used to propagate signals within circuits.
Manipulating the Simulation Engine:
The Simulation Engine class provides a set of useful methods that allow you to interact with the simulator engine.
