7. Is KickMaker supposed to be noise on startup?
No it is not. The KickMaker plugin runs a fast algorithm to generate a distinct start-up noise.
8. How exactly does the kickmaker plugin process kick sounds?
Kickmaker uses the Square Shape Parameter to create a vibration that is used as an input for a waveform being generated by a Hilbert Modulation VC input patch using the square shape parameter.
9. What's the difference between the four main pads?
Oscillator 1, 3, 4, and 7 are all equal in frequency and amplitude. Pad 1 is half the frequency of the other pads. The keyboard is also stepped down in frequency. Pad 4 is an even down-step from pad 1. Pad 2 is one octave below pad 1. Pad 7 is two octaves below pad 1 and is a simple addition of pad 1.

To switch between any pad number, simply toggle the respective pad switch to the target pad number.

Yes the main four oscillators use the Square Shape Parameter, Osc 1 is 1ms in duration, the other oscillators are shorter in duration. The main four oscillators are "copied" from the output of the step-down keyboard.
