Quick Lock is a small, portable, customisable and useful tool for disabling three of the most dangerous and potentially damaging tools on a Windows computer. This program only works for XP and Windows 7, but new versions of this software will be made available as they become available.
When you run Quick Lock, an icon will appear in your notification area.
If you hover over the icon, you will see a link which takes you to the Quick Lock website.
Some users have reported that Quick Lock has a bug which causes the window to disappear after you have selected which tool you want to disable. If this happens, launch Quick Lock again until it appears.
To make the window stick, right-click on the Quick Lock icon in the notification area and select "Configure Quick Lock...". This opens a window asking you to enter a name for the shortcut. Enter a name as you wish, but do not include the extension (.lnk) and click OK.
Quick Lock can be used to disable Task Manager or Registry Editor or the command prompt. Quick Lock will ask you whether you want to display the dialog for disabling a tool. You can click "Yes" to show the dialog and choose to disable a particular tool or click "No" to keep using Task Manager/Registry Editor/Command Prompt without that tool disabled.
Some users have reported that Task Manager does not return to its default state after you have disabled it. To fix this problem, run Task Manager by clicking on its icon in the task
