Return to premises June 2nd 2020
It was really exciting for the senior team to be able to announce the partial return to school premises next Tuesday.  Whilst we were hopeful of a full return, the return of Year 1 classes for teaching coupled with supervision for students in years 2-6 whose parents need to return to work is a positive step forward. If you missed the full details (there was a lot to cover!) of what measures the school is putting in place, please see the document below.  As I said in my message, undoubtedly, there will be further things to consider over the course of the next few weeks. It is impossible to cover all scenarios completely.  I have really appreciated the many messages of support from our community and, as always, we value your thoughts and feedback on any realistic additions we can make to our set up. It will certainly be a strange experience for us all next week but it will be wonderful to see, at least, some of our students before the summer break. Tuesday is likely to be a hectic day and would ask for patience as we trial our new entry systems. They look good on paper but you never really know until they are tried out in practice.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO COMPLETE THE DECLARATION FORM IF YOU INTEND FOR YOUR CHILD TO COME IN TO SCHOOL
A reminder that year 1 and 2 should come to the front entrance, years 3-6 to the back. We will have markings, signs and directions to help with the entry process. There will be marked out spaces and we will open all entry gates without the need for your child to use their entry card to scan in.  As parents are not allowed in the building, it may take longer than normal to enter. We will also be conducting temperature checks and sanitising measures, so please allow extra time. Our security team have been provided with hand held scanners which give an instantaneous result, so hopefully, the delays will not be too long.  
For those children coming by school bus, it is essential that they have a declaration form before getting on the bus, as there will not be a parent with them on arrival at the school. 
Please contact the bus service if you intend to use their service for further guidelines. If you wish your child to wear a mask or gloves, please ensure they also have these with them when coming to school or using the bus. I would also request that students have their own pencil cases and water bottles, all labelled with their names. Year 4-6 students should bring their own device to help support their online tasks
