There is a volume control for each channel's audio input, and a level control for each output channel. Breather has five filter options (lowpass, highpass, bandpass, notch, and combine) and four filter types (Linear, Exponential, Sine, and Sawtooth). You can't, however, adjust any of the controls inside of Breather itself; all controls are at the host level.
Breather's "Dynamic" sub-mode turns on or off the automatic volume normalization in order to maintain the original volume of the input channel.

Important changes include:
• Fixed bug in vst2 where the size of the plugin in the host app was 0x0, which prevented Breather from being loaded at all.
• Fixed some potential stability problems in vst2, which, however, were still being reported as "crashes".
• Added an "aftertouch" parameter in "Refresh" mode to ensure that Breather's filters move smoothly and stop "clicking" at the end of each sweep, if aftertouch is enabled.
• Corrected a glitch where after a sweep had ended, the filters immediately started to play a new cycle again, if the Step divisor was changed during that sweep. This glitch was caused by a difference in timing when different vst plugins exchanged their internal data.
• Changed the name of the "Live" parameter on Breather's "Active Settings" panel to "Steps".
• Corrected a bug where the "Live" parameter "Mix" was sometimes turned down to zero when Breather was set to "Internal" mode.
• Tried to fix a bug where Breather's filters wouldn't repeat when the Step divisor was set to a whole number.
• Fixed a bug where setting the "Mix" parameter to zero would cause the filters to crash.
• The last couple of prebuilt VST host projects were missing a parameter called "amp". Breather now has an "amp" parameter for setting the overall amplitude of the filters, and it defaults to "0" which will make it an "on/off" switch for the filters.
• Trying to load Breather in a non-default project caused it to crash if the host app didn't have a filter in its default preset. Now, if Breather can't find a default preset of its own in the host app, it will ask you to select one.
