￭ CR8type is a True Type font designer-editor, which includes: a toolbox for glyph design and drawing, dual-mode display (True Type and Meta Points), the ability to rotate, skew and stretch glyphs, convert any number of fonts into a single True Type font, and map glyphs to any Unicode character, and the ability to input True Type metrics and parameters. CR8type is fully Unicode compliant and contains the full Unicode character set. You can have an unlimited number of fonts which use different combinations of True Type and Meta Fonts. The font can be saved as a meta font or a True Type font so it can be used as part of any desktop publishing software. CR8type has 2 font files, usually, the font file (True Type or Meta Font) and a sub font file, which contains just the glyphs. Unlike most True Type font makers CR8type doesn't require you to enter every glyph into the font file. Now you can simply double click a character on the sub font file to add it to the True Type font file. CR8type works with True Type and Meta Font files - it will convert them from one to the other as well as a whole True Type font file into a Meta Font file. And, you can use a whole True Type font file to create a sub font file with a different font family, style, size, point size, weight and kerning. Not just that, you can change the font metrics, head measure, x-height, baseline to any value you want.
