Album Art Manager helps Songbird, a free open source cross-platform music player, match its support for local and online music stores with its distinctive functionality and UI.
This addon allows you to easily select an album cover or any other art (artwork, image, PDF, ZIP, JPG) to display on the album thumbnails.
Matching covers to the running album is done using fetchers (plugins that retrieve covers from servers or other files or from metadata).
With the current fetcher system and the benefits it brings to Songbird:
* A cover URL fetcher will present you with a cover of an artist or album that you've just seen. You can then click the cover to add it to the list of covers in the Album Art Manager window.
* An album ZIP file fetcher will open the ZIP file, download the cover to the Songbird cover manager window.
* A URL or ZIP file fetcher can be configured to be triggered by the last song played or by the last artist in the library.
* The cover manager window can also be configured to hide when the last song ends.
Album Art Manager uses the Songbird notification API to provide you with the notification when the current song changes to a new cover.
