IMDbForm works with a PHP/MySQL/AJAX interface. Its purpose is to retrieve, parse and display the most recent movie rating on IMDb.
Visit IMDbLogin.com and create an account (free of charge and not open to everyone). This site will collect user information as well as the imdb rating for all the movies you have viewed.
To extract your imdb rating, you should follow these instructions.
Some people may think that IMDb ratings are for movies, but they are actually intended for TV series.
IMDbForm works with Windows Live Writer and WordPress.
Visit your WordPress blog. Go to Tools/WordPress Options. Choose the 'Customize' tab and look for 'Settings'. Add or update your Window Live Writer preferences. The 'Settings' link will appear on the Window Live Writer menu.
Navigate to your 'Settings' page in Window Live Writer.
Click on the drop-down for 'Default Blog Provider'. (You should see 'Internal IMDb Blog'.)
From here, follow the instructions to replace the information on your blog entry with internal imdb information.
IMDbForm Instructions:
IMDbForm will parse and display the film's imdb rating based on the URL of the webpage you are viewing.
IMDbForm calculates the imdb rating by visiting the imdb page for the movie. Based on this movie's rating, an IMDbForm icon will be displayed on the left hand side of the blog text (if you have activated the 'Insert IMDb Links' plugin for Window Live Writer, you may see this icon). The user will be able to click on the icon to retrieve the most recent imdb rating for the movie they are viewing.
To get the most recent imdb rating, simply select one of the supported browsers on your blog. Once you have selected your browser, visit the imdb page for the movie you would like to view. You can access the imdb page by clicking on 'GO TO IMDb'. Once you have visited the imdb page, simply save the page.
