Keep me informed is a very simple application that enables you to monitor if your internet connection is active. However, an internet connection must be running before the application can work. Keep Me Informed basically uses a simple application to alert you of connectivity changes.
How to use:
Make sure you are using a windows machine, otherwise this will not work for you.
Install the application using the steps below.
Once installed, you can then launch Keep Me Informed by hitting the win-key and pressing the r key. This will open the application tray and then its icon will change from red to green when your internet connection is working.
As soon as your connection loses, the icon will change from green to red.
If you don't launch Keep Me Informed, you won't have any idea if your Internet connection is working or not.
Why you would want to use Keep Me Informed:
Basically, keep me informed is helpful if you have problems with your internet connection.
You can monitor your connection because the icon will change to green (which is the status of your connection) when your connection is active, or will turn red (when your connection is unavailable).
If you notice that the icon keeps changing to red, and you are unsure if your connection is down or not, you can type 'keepmeinformed' in the run window (windows+r). When you launch the application, the icon will change to green which tells you your connection is active again.
