To set HotMouse 3.1 up just run the executable and then choose the window you wish to scroll.
You can optionally set HotMouse to keep track of windows you've already scrolled.
HotMouse will automatically scroll to the first line of the window you click on next time it starts.
You can also control the amount of scrolling from the next window you click on.
HotMouse automatically turns off when you close it.
If you ever get an unexpected error you may want to set your system error handler to ignore this,
otherwise the errors would stop you using HotMouse from working.  You can control this from
Options > Preferences > HotMouse > Error Handling
Controlling the Scroll with HotMouse
----------------------------------
HotMouse allows you to control the amount of line based scrolling in windows using the mouse wheel.
HotMouse supports 3 modes of operation;
Automatic
This is the default mode for HotMouse and it scrolls to the first line of the window when the mouse wheel is used.
If you want to scroll a window manually it's best to put HotMouse in this mode.
Scroll With Keyboard
This allows you to scroll by pressing page up or page down on the keyboard.
If you prefer to scroll by pressing a modifier key then any key should work.
If you just prefer to use the mouse wheel to scroll then this mode is probably best left alone.
Scroll Every
This is a special mode that will cause HotMouse to scroll a window every x line length.
The speed of the scrolling can be controlled from the preferences if you want the screen to scroll more or less frequently.
You can use HotMouse with any window application that supports mouse wheel scrolling.
This is the only mode with a default setting for the scrolling amount and the next window to scroll to when you click on it.
Use with caution; scrolling will cause windows to jump about so you might want to play with the settings until you get something you like.
Using HotMouse

To start HotMouse 3.1 you just need to run the executable and choose a window to scroll.
You will be asked if you want to set HotMouse to keep track of the currently used windows.  If you
select this option it'll remember the currently used windows and the next window you click on next time it starts will be the first that you were using.
If you don't want to use this feature you can just select No

HotMouse lets you scroll windows using the mouse wheel.  (Before you
start complaining about the issues caused by this, try the two
options included with it first.)  It also lets you define how far to scroll
at a time, although by default the scroll amount is defined by the window.
The two options provided are:
   1. AllowScroll
      If this is enabled, then HotMouse will scroll by any number of lines
      until the window is scrolled.  This is useful if you already have
      a mouse wheel and you want to be able to scroll more lines per click.
      To disable this, set this option to "false".
   2. AllowLines
      If this is enabled, then the number of lines that a hotkey scrolls is
      defined.  If you set this to be a negative number, HotMouse will scroll
      by that many lines regardless of the window's scroll.  If you set this
      to a positive number, it will scroll by that number of lines.
      By default, this is set to -6 (12 lines).  This is a reasonable value
      to begin with.  If this is too high or low for your taste, you can
      adjust it easily.
HotMouse 3.1 Tutorial:
1.  If you haven't done so already, start the application as follows:
         
        mv hotmouse.exe  HotMouse
        
      Then open a blank file with your favorite text editor and save it as
        HotMouse.inf
        
        
2.  (Optional)  Add a line to the HotMouse.inf file so that you know what the
    program is called.  In this example we'll use "HotMouse" as the file name:
