RTAS question
I downloaded and installed my Sony DAT recorder to my pc running Media Maker. I was using WS and set up my syncing with the DAT recorder. I lost my WS but found out I could use RTAS, and found that the signal from the

The Chaos Control channel strip has powerful effects, making it easy to have a powerful sound for your productions.
“Chaos Control” is a virtual channel strip for the Ableton Live. It can be used as a mono-channel strip or as a stereo one.
With “Chaos Control”, you can combine a compressor, gate, effectors, exponents and a bunch of other tools that have a better control on your signal when you need it.
Of course, all these tools are available as plugins and not Live’s own effects. Also, this is a standalone application, not part of Live, so it needs to be downloaded in separate packages.
The main interface is divided in 2 lanes.
The left side contains a list of effects that you can apply to the channels, including the effect types (Gain, Delays, Compressors, Gate/Expansion, Sidechain, etc.), the plugin name, the amount of presets available in your platform and the download size.
When you apply an effect to a channel, the main interface will appear with the control of the plugin
On the right side, you will find the channel’s interface
It contains two panes:
- Input: Shows the input level, faders or the automation set in the bus.
- Output: The same as the input, but the output signal level.
You can also choose the effect parameters in Input and Output Panes, but you cannot edit them in the main interface.
You can use 2 or 4 effects at the same time, but you can only apply a total of 8 effects in the same time in both lanes.
One of the things that I really like about “Chaos Control” is that you can resize all the instruments as well as view its graphical presets when you are composing.
You can also use any color for the waveform of any track, channel or effect.
This channel strip is a powerful tool and is recommended for producers who need powerful tools for getting the most out of their productions.
Keyboard shortcuts:
You have to press Shift+F3 in the main interface to switch between the lanes.
