American hip hop duo $uicideboy$ and rapper Germ unreleased collaborative project, “DIRTIESTNASTIEST$UICIDE ” leaked online.

Ruby da Cherry and $crim, cousins, formed the group in 2014 and gained attention for its aggressive, self-produced rhythms and dark, often depressing subject matter.

The duo owns G*59 Records. Virgin distributes the band’s music. The duo is popular in the underground rap scene and has a cult following.

I Want to Die in New Orleans is Suicideboys’ debut album. The band had previously only released EPs and mixtapes. It was their first album to crack the top ten on the US Billboard 200, proving its commercial success.

$uicideboy$’ six-song EP Live Fast, Die Whenever features Blink-182’s Travis Barker and Korn’s James Shaffer.

Suicideboys’ music features a wide range of rap styles; some songs have mellow tones and focus on depression and suicidal ideation, while others are violent and aggressive.

Some of their songs are inspired by their upbringing in New Orleans; “Audubon,” “Tulane,” “Elysian Fields,” and “St. Bernard” refer to streets and neighborhoods they grew up in.

Depression and its symptoms are a common theme in their songs, unlike mainstream hip hop.

Suicideboys’ entire output is self-produced, primarily by Arceneaux under his pseudonym Budd Dwyer, with sporadic guest producers and instrumental loops.
