Last semester, I took 530 and was introduced to the world of LibGuides and its community. I wanted to add the ALA Library Resource Page to our list of resources for a few reasons. First, LibGuides are an essential resource for librarians to help curate all sorts of information and materials. There are a variety of tools available such as Wakelet, Padlet, LiveBinders, and so forth. I would argue that LibGuides is one of the biggest communities amongst librarians overall! Second, this LibGuide was created through the ALA organization. Many of the resources on this LibGuide are perfect for all types of librarians. Each topic is listed in a pre-determined box which allows users to locate information quickly and easily. Lastly, the librarians may use an effective resource in multiple ways/. This LibGuide is an example for us to refer back to when attempting to make LibGuides of our own.
